Peanut butter brownies with pecan

If you love peanut butter and chocolate then this is the dessert for you. Also if don't like these options or you are allergic to peanuts you can bake the brownies without it. This is the brownies recipe that you will keep using forever.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs

  • 75 g of butter

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 150 g semi sweet dark chocolate

  • 150 g milk chocolate

  • 1/4 cup of unsweetened chocolate powder ( I use Hershey's coco powder)

  • 1/2 cup of flour

  • 1 table spoon of baking powder

  • Pinch of salt

  • Pecans to sprinkle on top

  • Peanut butter as desired

  • Chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 C°

  • Put the dark and milk chocolate in a double boiler with butter

  • Shift the flour and baking powder and salt together in a bowl and leave it on the side.

  • When it is all melted and cooled to handle mix with sugar. Add the eggs one by one while mixing then add the flour mixture and don't over mix the brownies. Its important that you mix by hand and for me I always use a good spatula for mixing.

  • To prepare the pan grease with butter and line with parchment paper if it is a metal pan. If you have a silicon pan it is enough to only grease it with butter.

  • Pour in the batter in the pan

  • Add small dollops of peanut butter as desired on top of the batter and use a knife to create a marble effect. Then sprinkle with pecans or chocolate chips on top. You can use walnuts if you prefer.

  • Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

  • Remember that brownies are not cakes and you don't need to test them with a tooth pick to know if they are ready. The brownies need to cooked well enough on top and that it is not shiny anymore or dry. The inside should still be a bit moist in the middle.

  • After removing the brownies from the oven let it cool before cutting. I recommend using a pizza cutter to create straight even squares of delicious brownies.

ENJOY!
