Oreo Cheese Cake

We all love oreos and cheese cake how about both the ultimate cheese cake for chocolate and cookies lovers it is topped with white and dark chocolate ganache.


Ingredients

Crust

  • 24 oreos ( crushed in the processor)

  • 75 g melted butter

Filling

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 670 g of cream cheese left at room temperature

  • 3 table spoon of flour

  • 1/2 cup of sour cream or you can substitute with 1m2 cup of heavy cream and 2 spoons of lemon juice

  • 10 Oreos (crushed in the processor)

  • 10 Oreos chopped in half or to chunks

Topping

White chocolate ganache

  • 200 g of white chocolate

  • 1/3 cup of heavy cream

Chocolate ganache

  • 50 g of dark or milk chocolate

  • 2 spoons of heavy cream

  • 10 more Oreos cut in half for decorating



Instructions

  • Preheat the oven for 180 C°.

  • Crush 10 Oreos in the food processor and leave it on the side for the filling and crush another 24 Oreos that will be mixed with melted butter.

  • Make the crust of the cake in the spring pan with the oreo cramps and leave it in the fridge until the filling is ready.

  • Mix the cream cheese and the thick cream (or sour cream) until its creamy then add the sugar until it is well cooperated. Add the eggs one by one and then add the flour and a pinch of salt. (If you used thick cream instead of sour cream you need to a 2 spoons of lemon juice).

  • After the filling is mixed well add the oreo crumbs and mix gently by hand.

  • Add the filling to the crust and and more oreo chunks on the filling and bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes. Then turn off the oven and leave the cheese for 1 hour until it set. You can till that a cheesecake is done if it is slightly brown on the edges but still gently jiggles in the center. Or you can test it with a wood stick that comes almost clean.

  • Keep it to cool at room temperature then leave it in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Prepare the Decorations

  • Melt the white chocolate and the dark chocolate saperately to make the white ganache and chocolate ganache in a double boiler.

  • After the chocolate is melted add in the cream and keep mixing until the ganache is melted and shiny.

  • Add the white ganache first on top which helps cover up the cracks in the cake that that might be caused by the oreos.

  • With a small spoon add the chocolate and then with a small stick make some marbles and have fun with it.

  • Make sure to add the chocolate while it is still worm to manage to make the marbles.

  • Add half the oreos around the edge of the cake and add more oreo crumbs in the middle if you want.

  • Enjoy!
