Lemon Cake



I love this recipe because not only it is easy to prepare but also most products are already in your pantry.


Ingredients:

- 1 and 1/2 cup of flour

- 3 eggs

- 1/2 cup of oil

- 1 cup of sugar

- lemon zest of two lemons

- pinch of salt

- half a tea spoon of vanilla

- 1 cup of yogurt

- 1 tea spoon of baking powder


Instructions :


  • preheat the oven at 180 C ° or 350F°

  • Prepare the cake pan by greasing it with oil and dusting it with flour and discard the excess flour.

  • Sift the four with the salt and baking powder and leave it on the side.

  • Mix the sugar with lemon zest and leave it for few minutes so that the sugar will observe the lemon flavor

  • Mix the oil and sugar mixture and after the mixture is well combined mix the eggs one at a time

  • When everything is well combined add the flour mixture into two batches and mix

  • When the lemon cake batter is ready pour over the cake baking pan.

  • Bake in the oven for 40 to 45 minutes


Lemon icing (optional) :

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup of icing sugar

  • 2 spoons of lemon juice

  • 1 spoon of milk


Instructions:

  • Before preparing the icing make sure that your cake is ready to be iced because the icing will get hard or stiff immediately

  • Mix the icing sugar with liquid ingredients but if you prefer it more runny add 1 spoon of milk or to get the desired consistency

  • Drizzle the icing on the lemon cake

  • Enjoy
