I love this recipe because not only it is easy to prepare but also most products are already in your pantry.
Ingredients:
- 1 and 1/2 cup of flour
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 1 cup of sugar
- lemon zest of two lemons
- pinch of salt
- half a tea spoon of vanilla
- 1 cup of yogurt
- 1 tea spoon of baking powder
Instructions :
preheat the oven at 180 C ° or 350F°
Prepare the cake pan by greasing it with oil and dusting it with flour and discard the excess flour.
Sift the four with the salt and baking powder and leave it on the side.
Mix the sugar with lemon zest and leave it for few minutes so that the sugar will observe the lemon flavor
Mix the oil and sugar mixture and after the mixture is well combined mix the eggs one at a time
When everything is well combined add the flour mixture into two batches and mix
When the lemon cake batter is ready pour over the cake baking pan.
Bake in the oven for 40 to 45 minutes
Lemon icing (optional) :
Ingredients :
1 cup of icing sugar
2 spoons of lemon juice
1 spoon of milk
Instructions:
Before preparing the icing make sure that your cake is ready to be iced because the icing will get hard or stiff immediately
Mix the icing sugar with liquid ingredients but if you prefer it more runny add 1 spoon of milk or to get the desired consistency
Drizzle the icing on the lemon cake
